In the art community, Choi Jeong Hwa is known as a "Plastics Alchemist". Obviously, "plastics" is the highlight of both Choi Jeong Hwa's art works and this exhibition. According to him, plastic, the most artificial material, is the most important element of today's landscape. The most artificial element turns out to be the most familiar, most natural object. From his art works, we can see his rejection of the dialectical thought. In fact, acceptance and harmony are what Choi Jeong Hwa tries to advocate in his art works.

Choi Jeong Hwa seeks to develop art works that everybody can understand or resonate with. What he presents are the combinations of plastic articles commonly seen in daily life and childish, dazzling colors. Through the event, he wishes to explore a number of topics, including "time and space", "today and tomorrow", "questioning the current social status" and "self-reflection" with the Chinese audience.

Currently, there are a number of hot topics around Choi Jeong Hwa's art works in the academic community, including "plastics semiotics", "the emergence of the vintage culture in the 1990s and the plastics paradise of Choi Jeong Hwa", "another post-capitalism, another cultural logics", "plastics and alchemy", "natural and artificial", "Choi Jeong Hwa's 'seem to be' theory and the oriental mindset".
